2022-02-24ath11k: add dbring debug supportVenkateswara Naralasetty
Target copies spectral report and CFR report through dbring to host for further processing. This mechanism involves ring and buffer management in the Host, FW, and uCode, where improper tail pointer update issues are seen. This dbring debug support help to debug such issues by tracking head and tail pointer movement along with the timestamp at which each buffer is received and replenished. Provide a debugfs interface to enalbe/disable dbring debug support and dump the dbring debug entries. Also introduced a new hardware param to add dbring debugfs support for few hardwares which are using dbings. Usage: echo <dbr_id> <val> > /sys/kernel/debug/ath11k/ipq8074_2/ mac0/enable_dbr_debug dbr_id: 0 for spectral and 1 for CFR val: 0 - disable, 1 - enable. 2021-12-09ath11k: add spectral/CFR buffer validation supportVenkateswara Naralasetty
Currently there is no validation on the spectral/CFR report over the db ring buffers from the hardware. Improper/incomplete DMA by the target can result in invalid data received by host. Due to this we may populate incorrect data to user space. This buffer validation support fix this issues by filling some magic value in the buffer during buffer replenish and check for the magic value in the buffer received by the target. If host detect magic value in the received buffer it will drop the buffer. 2021-11-17ath11k: use cache line aligned buffers for dbringRameshkumar Sundaram
The DMA buffers of dbring which is used for spectral/cfr starts at certain offset from original kmalloc() returned buffer. This is not cache line aligned. And also driver tries to access the data that is immediately before this offset address (i.e. buff->paddr) after doing dma map. This will cause cache line sharing issues and data corruption, if CPU happen to write back cache after HW has dma'ed the data. Fix this by mapping a cache line aligned buffer to dma. Tested on: IPQ8074 hw2.0 AHB WLAN.HK.2.5.0.1-01100-QCAHKSWPL_SILICONZ-1 Signed-off-by: Rameshkumar Sundaram <quic_ramess@quicinc.com> Signed-off-by: Kalle Valo <kvalo@codeaurora.org> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/1635831693-15962-1-git-send-email-quic_ramess@quicinc.com
2021-09-28ath11k: fix some sleeping in atomic bugsDan Carpenter
The ath11k_dbring_bufs_replenish() and ath11k_dbring_fill_bufs() take a "gfp" parameter but they since they take spinlocks, the allocations they do have to be atomic. This causes a bug because ath11k_dbring_buf_setup passes GFP_KERNEL for the gfp flags. The fix is to use GFP_ATOMIC and remove the unused parameters. 2020-08-17ath11k: hal: create hw_srng_config dynamicallyKalle Valo
On QCA6390 reg_start and reg_size values are different from IPQ8074 so we need to change the values runtime. As we can't modify a static const variable hw_srng_config directly, instead use it as a template, copy it and modify the copy with correct values. 2020-06-15ath11k: add support for spectral scanKarthikeyan Periyasamy
spectral scan control interface is exposed through debugfs eentry. Relayfs is used to collect the spectral data. These interfaces are similar to ath10k spectral. spectral debugfs interfaces are below, echo background > /sys/kernel/debug/ieee80211/phy0/ath11k/spectral_scan_ctl echo trigger > /sys/kernel/debug/ieee80211/phy0/ath11k/spectral_scan_ctl iw dev wlan0 scan echo disable > /sys/kernel/debug/ieee80211/phy0/ath11k/spectral_scan_ctl cat /sys/kernel/debug/ieee80211/phy0/ath11k/spectral_scan0 > fft_samples.dump Tested-on: IPQ8074 WLAN.HK.2.1.0.1-01228-QCAHKSWPL_SILICONZ-1 Signed-off-by: Karthikeyan Periyasamy <periyasa@codeaurora.org> Signed-off-by: Kalle Valo <kvalo@codeaurora.org> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/1591688014-26441-2-git-send-email-periyasa@codeaurora.org
2020-06-15ath11k: Add direct buffer ring supportKarthikeyan Periyasamy
Add direct buffer ring (dbring) with helper API, which is used by the spectral scan. Initialise the direct buffer ring based on the dma ring capability, which get announced in the wmi service ready extended event. This ring is slightly changed from data path rings. Compare to data path ring this ring shares the hp and tp address to firmware though WMI commands. Also the replenish buffer size is derived from firmware announcement. driver receive indication through WMI event WMI_PDEV_DMA_RING_BUF_RELEASE_EVENTID.
