2017-07-05MAINTAINERS: Add Frederic Weisbecker as nohz/dyntics maintainerIngo Molnar
Frederic has been improving and maintaining the nohz/dynticks kernel features for years, so make his de facto maintainership official. 2017-06-22sched/loadavg: Generalize "_idle" naming to "_nohz"Frederic Weisbecker
The loadavg naming code still assumes that nohz == idle whereas its code is actually handling well both nohz idle and nohz full. So lets fix the naming according to what the code actually does, to unconfuse the reader. 2017-03-03sched/headers: Remove <linux/sched.h> from <linux/sched/nohz.h>Ingo Molnar
The <linux/sched/nohz.h> file is a self-contained header and users of it either don't need <linux/sched.h> - or have already included it. This reduces the size of the header dependency graph. 2017-03-03sched/headers: Move the NOHZ APIs from <linux/sched.h> to <linux/sched/nohz.h>Ingo Molnar
There's a number of NOHZ/dyntics related functionality in <linux/sched.h>, but only a handful of timer files are making use of them. Move them into their own header. This better documents these APIs and unclutters <linux/sched.h>. 2017-03-02sched/headers: Prepare for new header dependencies before moving code to ↵Ingo Molnar
<linux/sched/nohz.h> We are going to split <linux/sched/nohz.h> out of <linux/sched.h>, which will have to be picked up from other headers and a couple of .c files. Create a trivial placeholder <linux/sched/nohz.h> file that just maps to <linux/sched.h> to make this patch obviously correct and bisectable. Include the new header in the files that are going to need it.
