2022-09-19ASoC: tas2770: Reinit regcache on resetMartin Povišer
On probe of the ASoC component, the device is reset but the regcache is retained. This means the regcache gets out of sync if the codec is rebound to a sound card for a second time. Fix it by reinitializing the regcache to defaults after the device is reset. 2022-09-19ASoC: nau8824: Fix semaphore is released unexpectedlySJLIN0
On resuming, we anticipate that the jack is detected before playback or capture. Therefore, we use semaphore to control the jack detection done without any bothering. During booting, the driver launches jack detection and releases the semaphore. However, it doesn't perceive the maniputation of semaphore is not like resuming procedure. This makes the semaphore's count value become to 2. There is more than one thread can enter into the critical section. This may get unexpected situation and make some chaos. 2022-08-23ASoC: nau8540: Implement hw constraint for ratesTakashi Iwai
nau8540 driver restricts the sample rate with over sampling rate, but currently it barely bails out at hw_params with -EINVAL error (with a kernel message); this doesn't help for user-space to recognize which rate can be actually used. This patch introduces the proper hw constraint for adjusting the available range of the sample rate depending on the OSR setup, as well as some code cleanup, for improving the communication with user-space. Now applications can know the valid rate beforehand and reduces the rate appropriately without errors. 2022-08-15ASoC: cs42l42: Only report button state if there was a button interruptRichard Fitzgerald
Only report a button state change if the interrupt status shows that there was a button event. Previously the code would always drop into the button reporting at the end of interrupt handling if the jack was present. If neither of the button report interrupts were pending it would report all buttons released. This could then lead to a button being reported as released while it is still pressed. 2022-08-10TAS2770 fixesMark Brown
Merge series from Martin Povišer <povik+lin@cutebit.org>: The first two fixes should be straightforward. The latter two clean up what looks to me like a mess in the setting of power levels. However we settle it, we should then do the same changes to TAS2764, which has the same template (and maybe there are other drivers).

2022-08-08ASoC: tas2770: Fix handling of mute/unmuteMartin Povišer
Because the PWR_CTRL field is modeled as the power state of the DAC widget, and at the same time it is used to implement mute/unmute, we need some additional book-keeping to have the right end result no matter the sequence of calls. Without this fix, one can mute an ongoing stream by toggling a speaker pin control. 2022-07-27ASoC: codecs: va-macro: use fsgen as clockSrinivas Kandagatla
VA Macro fsgen clock is supplied to other LPASS Macros using proper clock apis, however the internal user uses the registers directly without clk apis. 2022-07-11ASoC: codecs: rt298: Fix jack detectionAmadeusz Sławiński
On our RVP platforms using rt298 with combojack we've seen issues with controls being in incorrect state after suspend/resume cycle. This is caused by codec driver not setting pins to correct state and causing codec suspend method to not be called. Which on resume caused codec registers to be in undefined state. Fix this by setting pins correctly in jack detect function. Above problem is caused by the fact that when jack == NULL code doesn't reach rt298_jack_detect() function which sets pins. Alternatively problem could be fixed by just moving rt298_jack_detect, but as rt298 codec is similar to rt286, align the code by setting pins explicitly. The output compensation controls always returns zero regardless of if the control value was updated. This results in missing notifications to user-space of the control change. Update the handling to return 1 when the value is changed. 2022-07-07ASoC: wcd9335: Use int array instead of bitmask for TX mixersYassine Oudjana
Currently slim_tx_mixer_get reports all TX mixers as enabled when at least one is, due to it reading the entire tx_port_value bitmask without testing the specific bit corresponding to a TX port. Furthermore, using the same bitmask for all capture DAIs makes setting one mixer affect them all. To prevent this, and since the SLIM TX muxes effectively only connect to one of the mixers at a time, turn tx_port_value into an int array storing the DAI index each of the ports is connected to. 2022-07-07ASoC: tlv320adcx140: Fix tx_mask checkSascha Hauer
The tx_mask check doesn't reflect what the driver and the chip support. The check currently checks for exactly two slots being enabled. The tlv320adcx140 supports anything between one and eight channels, so relax the check accordingly. The tlv320adcx140 supports arbitrary tx_mask settings, but the driver currently only supports adjacent slots beginning with the first slot, so extend the check to check that the first slot is being used and that there are no holes in the tx_mask. Leave a comment to make it's the driver that limits the tx_mask settings, not the chip itself. While at it remove the set-but-unused struct adcx140p_priv::tdm_delay field. 2022-07-07ASoC: sgtl5000: Fix noise on shutdown/removeFrancesco Dolcini
Put the SGTL5000 in a silent/safe state on shutdown/remove, this is required since the SGTL5000 produces a constant noise on its output after it is configured and its clock is removed. Without this change this is happening every time the module is unbound/removed or from reboot till the clock is enabled again. The issue was experienced on both a Toradex Colibri/Apalis iMX6, but can be easily reproduced everywhere just playing something on the codec and after that removing/unbinding the driver.
