From 7bb7ee8704fea9fec9eea53322b8464c3ed70a3d Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Christoph Hellwig Date: Mon, 15 Jun 2020 08:46:23 +0200 Subject: scsi: libata: Provide an ata_scsi_dma_need_drain stub for !CONFIG_ATA SAS drivers can be compiled with ata support disabled. Provide a stub so that the drivers don't have to ifdef around wiring up ata_scsi_dma_need_drain. Kernel code should always use “flexible array members”[1] for these cases. The older style of one-element or zero-length arrays should no longer be used[2]. Using async_synchronize_full() in PM callbacks is wrong, since async callbacks that are already scheduled may wait for not-yet-scheduled callbacks, causes a circular dependency. Instead of using big hammer like async_synchronize_full(), use async cookie to make sure port probe are synced, without affecting other scheduled PM callbacks.
